What’s your position at ProHealth Physical Therapy and Pilates and how long have you been here?
I am a physical therapist and Pilates teacher at ProHealth. I started working at ProHealth full time in June of 2020, so I have been here about a year and a half.
What led you to becoming a physical therapist and Pilates teacher?
I first became interested in physical therapy when I was a student in high school. I ran cross-country and track and I injured myself a number of times. I found it fascinating that my physical therapist could help me heal my injuries through movement and my passion for movement grew from there.
What’s your favorite thing about your job?
My favorite part about my job is the people that I get to work with! I love my patients and clients. It is always fun to build relationships with them and help them to feel and move better.
I also love my coworkers. The team here at ProHealth is amazing. The women I work with build me up, encourage me, and help me grow as a clinician/instructor.
Please share the number one problem you solve for clients and patients at ProHealth.
When I work with my patients and clients, the number one issue I work with them on is teaching them how to move better. Physical therapy patients and Pilates clients alike come in with movement patterns that aren’t serving their bodies well. I help teach them how to move in ways that aren’t destructive or painful.
Fav class or service at ProHealth and why?
I am biased but my favorite class at ProHealth is the reformer class that I get to teach on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30. I have fun teaching my clients new things and challenging them in different ways!
