Circuit Pilates classes at ProHealth are fun and invigorating. No matter where you are in your Pilates journey, there’s a spot for you in a Circuit class.
Pilates apparatus may look different than anything you’ve worked on before. If you’re new to the method, you’re not alone. Don’t let that deter you from trying the Circuit Pilates class at ProHealth in Peachtree City. Once you’ve experienced the apparatus, you’re hooked.
ProHealth owner, Karyn Staples says “Joseph Pilates created the Pilates equipment to work as a cohesive system. It is a large playground of opportunities to move the body with assistance and resistance. Circuit classes at ProHealth give the opportunity to experience several pieces of Pilates equipment in one class”.
ProHealth offers three Circuit Pilates classes; Healthy Spine, Green Circuit and Blue Circuit. Let’s look at how they differ and which one is right for you.
Best Circuit Pilates for the Beginner
If you’re new to the Pilates apparatus, your best choice is the Green Circuit class. The class maxes out at 6 people, made for beginners. You’ll gain confidence on the apparatus, learning the many variations and modifications. After a few classes, you’ll know how to navigate the reformer, tower and chair as equipment.
Foundational exercises are taught on each of the apparatus pieces. Your instructor will guide you in correct form and breathe, making sure you get the most of each exercise. Props are often used for modifications and variety.
Green Circuit class is great for those who’ve been away from the studio too. If you’re looking to ramp back up to the Blue Circuit class, jump into Green Circuit to review.
Circuit Pilates with a Challenge
Blue Circuit Pilates class is for the intermediate student. You’ve been through the green circuit class for some time and ready for a challenge. In Blue Circuit, you’ll increase strength, coordination and endurance.
Like the Green Circuit class, you’ll move through the reformer, tower and chair. No class is the same. With hundreds of exercises on the apparatus, you’re never bored. Props add variations keeping your muscles and mind challenged.
Good form, breath and confidence on apparatus is important before moving on to Blue level.
Best Pilates Class for Back Pain
All Pilates is great for spinal health. Joseph Pilates said “You’re only as young as your spine”. Healthy Spine Circuit class is for people with back pain, scoliosis or bone loss. This class utilizes the most effective movements for strengthening and lengthening your spine.
Back problems create a domino effect through our body. Shoulder and hips knocked off alignment can lead to pain and loss of mobility. Your teacher will round out this class with exercises for your hips and shoulders. After 50 minutes, you’ll walk out of the studio a little bit taller than when you walked in.
